Tonight we had a traditional Swiss dish called Raclette. It’s a special cheese that is normally melted over a big fireplace, but tonight we had a table top version. First you hethe and melt the cheese and then you scrape off (racler) the cheese onto your place. We ate it with a baked potato, a special sour cream sauce, a green salad and a fruit salad. It was delicious!
Of course the fireworks scared the begeseezes out of me, but we watched them from the upstairs bedroom and had a fabulous view. Now we’re waiting for the ball to drop at midnight.
